Passed from one person to another, One For All is like a torch handed down to heroes chosen to stand against evil, especially the powerful villain All For One. With each new user, the Quirk grew stronger, gaining not only more power but also the unique abilities and will of its past users.
But who were the people who held this power before Izuku Midoriya? What goals did they have, and what struggles did they face? From the quiet beginnings of Yoichi Shigaraki to the legendary era of All Might, each user helped shape the world of heroes. Let us study every One For All User till now.
1. Yoichi Shigaraki – The First User
Yoichi Shigaraki was the younger brother of All For One and the very first person to have One For All. He was born weak and sickly and was thought to not have a Quirk. Wanting to “help” him, All For One forced a Quirk onto Yoichi that could store power. But what no one knew was that Yoichi already had a Quirk, one that let him pass on powers to others. When these two Quirks came together, they formed One For All.
Yoichi wasn’t strong in battle, but his strength came from his beliefs. He deeply believed in justice and freedom and stood against his brother’s cruel rule. Even though he couldn’t fight with force, he inspired others to rise up. By passing the Quirk on, he started a chain of heroes fighting against evil, a fight that still continues today with Izuku Midoriya.
2. Kudo – The Second User
The Second User, later known as Kudo, was a tough warrior who lived during a time of war. He was the first person to receive One For All from Yoichi. Kudo saved Yoichi during a battle against All For One and accepted the Quirk, even though he knew it was risky. His own Quirk, Gearshift, lets him change the speed of anything he touches, even in ways that break the normal rules of physics.
Kudo was known for his strong will and belief in taking action. While some future users were more careful or hesitant, Kudo believed in fighting back and making bold moves. At first, he didn’t fully trust Deku, but over time, he saw the strength and determination in him. In the end, Kudo believed Deku could master One For All and finish the fight he had started long ago.
3. Bruce – The Third User
The Third User of One For All was once the sidekick of Kudo, the second user. Kudo later passed One For All to him. At first, both of them tried to kill Yoichi, thinking he was helping All For One. But after learning the truth, they changed their minds and helped Yoichi escape from prison. Kudo was also the one who first figured out how One For All really worked by watching its power grow.
Like Kudo, the third user didn’t agree with Izuku Midoriya’s idea of trying to save Tomura Shigaraki instead of defeating him. But later, Yoichi helped change his mind. His Quirk is called Fa Jin, it lets the user store up movement energy and then release it all at once for a powerful burst of speed or strength.
4. Hikage Shinomori – The Fourth User
Hikage Shinomori chose to live alone so he could better understand One For All. His Quirk, called Danger Sense, lets him feel when someone nearby has harmful intentions or is about to attack. After receiving One For All, Hikage noticed that the power was getting stronger and harder to handle, especially for people who were born with their own Quirk.
Instead of fighting villains, Hikage spent 18 years in isolation, training his body and studying the Quirk. Through his research, he discovered something important: One For All could shorten the life of anyone who already had a Quirk, because the power was too much for their body. Hikage eventually died of old age, which is rare for a hero. His quiet life and deep study gave future users, like Deku, important knowledge about how to safely use One For All.
5. Daigoro Banjo – The Fifth User
Daigoro Banjo was a lively and confident pro hero known for his bold attitude and bright personality. His Quirk, called Blackwhip, lets him create dark energy ropes that he can use to grab things, swing around, or trap enemies. Blackwhip is a strong and aggressive power, which fits well with Banjo’s fearless and outgoing nature.
Banjo gave more to One For All than just his Quirk. He brought energy, motivation, and encouragement, especially to Deku. While other users faced dark times, Banjo always believed in the new generation of heroes. Deku now uses Blackwhip not to control others, but to protect them, just like Banjo would have wanted.
6. En Tayutai – The Sixth User
En was the One For All user who came after Daigoro Banjo. He had a more careful and thoughtful way of using the power. His Quirk, called Smokescreen, lets him create thick clouds of smoke. This smoke can hide his movements, confuse enemies, and help him escape or surprise opponents. While it’s not meant for direct attacks, it’s great for support in battle.
He was quiet and calm by nature. He didn’t like to fight head-on and preferred smart, sneaky tactics. Even though he wasn’t a famous hero, his clever way of using One For All added a new layer to its strength.
7. Nana Shimura – The Seventh User
Nana Shimura was a strong and graceful pro hero who trained Toshinori Yagi, also known as All Might. Her Quirk, called Float, let her float and fly through the air. She was both elegant and brave, facing many dangers without giving up. She even kept her family a secret to protect her son.
Sadly, Nana died fighting against All For One, but her spirit lived on. She believed in hope and being a true hero, and she inspired All Might, who later passed those beliefs to Deku. Nana’s choice to give One For All to All Might changed the future of heroes forever. She is remembered as a symbol of sacrifice and strength in the story.
8. Toshinori Yagi (All Might) – The Eighth User
Toshinori Yagi, better known as All Might, is the most famous person to use One For All. He was born without any Quirk, but Nana Shimura chose him because he was very determined to make the world safe. With her training, he became the “Symbol of Peace” and a sign of hope in a world full of villains.
All Might used the strong power of One For All mainly for his amazing strength and powerful presence. He didn’t use the special Quirks passed down from previous users. Just seeing him stopped many crimes and gave hope to people and other heroes. Even after he got hurt and lost his Quirk, All Might still helps Deku as a teacher and guide, carrying the weight of being the world’s greatest hero.
9. Izuku Midoriya – The Ninth and Current User
Izuku Midoriya, also called Deku, is the current user of One For All and might be the last one to have it. He was born without a Quirk but loved heroes and wanted to be one. Because of his kind heart and strong will, All Might chose him to receive One For All. Deku has now gained all the special powers from the past users, making him the strongest and most complete user so far.
Deku has many powers like Gearshift, Fa Jin, Danger Sense, Blackwhip, Smokescreen, and Float, showing the strength of all the heroes who came before him. But what makes him truly special is his big heart. He cares about everyone, even his enemies, and believes anyone can be a hero. Deku doesn’t just hold the power of One For All, he carries the hopes and dreams of all the past users.
