One Piece is a long-running anime with over 1,000 episodes, making it one of the biggest series in the genre. While the main story is exciting and full of adventure, the show has some filler arcs and episodes that are not part of the main plot. These fillers are added to give the manga time to stay ahead of the anime, but they don’t affect the main story.

To make it easier for you to watch the series, we’ve made a list of filler arcs and episodes you can skip. Arcs like the Post-Alabasta Arc and the Ocean’s Dream Arc are fun to watch but can be skipped without missing anything important in the main story. Whether you’re watching for the first time or rewatching, skipping filler helps you stay focused on the main story.

1. Warship Island Arc

Arc

The Warship Island Arc is the first Filler arc that you can skip watching One Piece. The Arc is from episode 54-60 which is just after East Blue Saga and is set before Straw Hat Pirates Enter the Grand Line.

Although it introduces some interesting elements, it’s often skipped by fans who prefer to dive straight into the main storyline.

In this arc, Luffy and his crew saves a girl named Apis who was floating in the sea, as, she escapes from a military warship. The crew plans to get her and  Sennenryu, a old dragon back to their homeland.

This adds a little fun and adventure to the series but the characters in this arc is no further introduced in the series, So, you can skip this arc right away.

2. Post-Alabasta Arc

This Arc occurs immediately after the Alabasta Arc. These episodes explore the aftermath of the Alabasta Arc, providing more background and character development. They’re light and offer a nice breather after the intense Alabasta conflict. The arc is from episode 131-135.

This arc Consist of a total of five episodes, each episode details the goals and dreams of the crew members which gives viewers a more in-depth look into the characters. While these episodes dive deeper into characters, but it shows nothing extra to the viewers, So you can skip this arc.

3. Goat Island Arc

The third Arc that you can skip while Watching One Piece is the Goat Island Arc. This Arc is from episode 136-138. This arc focus on Straw Hats who lands on this island mistakenly while escaping marines and they meet an old man named Zenny with lots of sheep living there.

When Marines find them on the island they fight them alongside Zenny and later Luffy inspires the old man to continue to follow his dreams despite his medical issues.

This arc is yet another series of episodes that exhibit the Straw Hats’ kindness and willingness to help others. However this arc doesn’t display any important information about Straw Hats. So, you can skip this arc.

4. Ruluka Island Arc

The Fourth Arc that you can skip is Ruluka Island Arc. This Arc is from episode 139-143. In this arc also as usually Luffy and his crew being chased by Marines and later finding themself on an unusual Island which is ruled by an ex pirate named Ruluka who is a dictator and charges extra tax from people of this island.

As Luffy and his crew see people suffering from this problem so they decide to save the people of this island and leave quickly for their adventure. As this Arc does not add any additional information so you can skip it right away and enter into the Jaya Arc without wasting any time.

5. G-8 Arc

Coming onto the fifth filler arc, the G8 Arc. This Arc appears just after the Skypiea Arc when Luffy and his crew land in a navy base and then tries to escape from there. This Arc is from episode 196-206.

The Arc showcases how Luffy and his crew manages to find their ship and escape from Marine base. this arc is a fun, action-packed adventure with a creative twist. It features an entertaining interaction between the Straw Hats and the Marines.

If you want to have some fun while watching the anime, then you must watch this arc. But, as it contains no extra information so you can also skip this.

6. Ocean’s Dream Arc

Coming onto the sixth arc named Ocean’s Dream Arc based on the video game of One Piece where everyone’s memory is lost and they forget that they are members of Straw Hats and are friends to each other. This Arc is from episode 220-225.

In this Arc as everyone’s memory is lost so they don’t know that they are friends with each other, So, they consider each member as threat to themself and they start fighting each other.

However, Robin is left unaffected and helps the crew regain their memories. The unique plot can attract you to watch these four fillers, but skip them without worries.

7. The Foxy’s Return Arc

The Seventh Filler Arc known as the Foxy’s Return Arc is one of most least watched Arc in One Piece. This Arc is from episode 225-228. The events of Long Ring Long Land Island introduced Foxy and the Foxy Pirate crew to One Piece.

During this arc Luffy finds Foxy with two of his crew members Porche and Hamburg. They are floating on the small boat and luffy brings them on board to Going Merry until they find their ship.

Foxy and his crew try to take on Luffy and his gang after onboarding the Merry, Straw Hats’ ship. You can skip this arc as for fans Foxy is one of the most hated character of all time and this filler arc is very frustrating.

8. Ice Hunter Arc

The Eighth Filler Arc known as The Ice Hunter Arc which occures just after Post Enies Lobby Arc. This Arc is from episode 326-336. In this arc Luffy and his crew make their way to Florian Island and there they found some people repairing their ship so they decide to help them.

Soon enough later they found out that the people they were helping were the people of bounty Hunter family. As the One Piece story has not shown the work of Bounty Hunters that much so you can either watch this filler or skip it, its all your choice.

9. Spa Island Arc

The Spa Island arc takes place right after the Thriller Bark arc and is the ninth filler Arc. This Arc is from episode 382-382. This Arc shows the Luffy and his crew having an enjoyable moment until Foxy returns again and interferes their fun and give them a tough time.

Like other Spa Arcs in most of the anime this Arc also provides nothing much of an information to viewer and as this Arc is just 3 episodes long and it consists of 2 villains and none of them get that much of screen time and makes this arc a mess so this arc can be skipped.

10. Little East Blue Arc

The tenth filler Arc known as The Little East Blue Arc precedes the One Piece movie : Strong World. This filler Arc needs to be watched if you wish to watch this movie. This arc is from episode 426-429.

In this arc Straw Hats land on an island that is the exact replica of East Blue, Zoro, Luffy, Nami and Usopp are from. However there is also replica of Baratie where Sanji grew up which is in North Blue.

So, if you wish to watch the Strong World movie then you must watch these episodes, or otherwise you can skip them without hesitation.

11. Z’s Ambition Arc

The Eleventh Arc is the arc that occurs just after the timeskip and is known as the Z’s Ambition Arc. This filler arc is set up for the One Piece Movie : Z and includes some exciting battles and character interactions. This arc is from episode 575-578.

The Straw Hat Pirates move to the Maubeugemour Sea of the New World and are suddenly surrounded by the fleet of Neo Marines.

After escaping the Marine fleet, they discover Lily Enstomach, the daughter of a giant who had been captured by the marines. So if you plan on watching the movie you can watch these fillers or otherwise you can skip these.

12. The Caesar Retrieval Arc

The Caesar Retrieval Arc is set up just after the Punk Hazard Arc where Luffy, Law and Chopper track Caesar in order to capture him. The arc is from episode 626-628. In these filler Luffy, Law and Chopper follow a pirate named Breed who kidnapped Caesar from Sunny and now they have to capture Caesar again.

If you want to know more about Caesar and his past and more adventure about Luffy and Law, So you can watch these fillers otherwise you can skip them without hesitation.

13. Silver Mine Arc

Silver Mine Arc is just after the Dressrosa Arc and the arc is set up for the One Piece Film: Gold. These arc is from 747-750. In this arc Luffy and Bartolomeo gets kidnapped by Silver Pirates and are held captive in a big fortress which is surrounded by Silver Mines. So, Luffy and Bartolomeo find a way to escape from fortress.

While escaping from Fortress, they meet Bartolomeo’s childhood friend Desire and they fight off several pirates to escape from there. So you need to watch this arc if you want to watch the One Piece movie. However this arc is considered a bit boring by fans so you can skip it.

14. Marine Rookie Arc

The thirteenth filler arc known as the Marine Rookie is placed just after the Zou Arc. This arc takes place from episode 780-782. In this Arc all the food for Luffy’s crew is finished and they are starving to death, So, they decide to land on a Marine island and steal their food.

Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook, Pedro, and Carrot fight off some Marines and steal their clothes to disguise themself for the food. Although, this arc is a little fun to watch for the fans, but, there is very little action and it doesn’t live up to the hopes of fans so it is likely to be skipped.

15. The Cidre Guild Arc

Coming onto the fourteenth filler arc known as The Cidre Guilt Arc is also set up for the One Piece Film: Stampede. The arc is from episode 895-896. In this arc Luffy unexpectedly encounters with Boa Hancock.

Luffy, with the help of Boa Hancock and Kuja Pirates fights off some Bounty Hunters composed of Cidre, Guarana and Ginger known as Cidre Guild. This arc takes place just before the Wano Arc. So, if you plan to watch the movie you can watch this arc or you can just skip it.

16. Uta’s Past Arc

Coming to the last filler arc until now, known as Uta’s Past Arc and this arc is also a set up for the latest movie known as One Piece Movie: Red. The arc is from episode 1029-1030. The arc is about Luffy and Shank’s daughter, Uta’s past.

Technically, the One Piece manga confirms Uta is indeed part of the franchise’s canon, but the events that took place haven’t been confirmed. But, as the arc is just between Wano Arc before the raid on Onigashima, it disrupts a major action time of the arc. So, if you want to watch this movie you can watch this Arc.
