The Worst Generation in One Piece is a group of twelve strong and ambitious pirates who have made a big impact on the world. This group includes eleven rookie pirates, called Supernovas, who had bounties over 100 million berries when they arrived at Sabaody Archipelago before the Marineford War. It also includes Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard, who later became a Yonko. The members of this group are Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Trafalgar Law, Eustass Kid, Killer, Basil Hawkins, Scratchmen Apoo, X Drake, Urouge, Capone Bege, and Jewelry Bonney.
They are very well known by other pirates because they have changed the balance of power in the One Piece world. Many of them have fought against the Yonko, battled the Marines, and played important roles in big events like Marineford, Dressrosa, and Wano. Luffy, Kid, and Law even defeated two Yonko, Kaido and Big Mom, which was a huge moment in pirate history. Blackbeard, another member of the Worst Generation, became a Yonko himself by stealing Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit and gaining more power.
12. Jewelry Bonney
Jewelry Bonney has a very mysterious Devil Fruit that lets her change a person’s age. This power is interesting, but she mostly uses it to escape rather than fight. She can change her own age and disguise herself, which could be useful in battle. However, she has not been seen fighting strong opponents yet, so we don’t know how powerful she really is.
Even though she hasn’t shown much fighting skill, Bonney is still an important character. She has connections to big names like Kuma and the Revolutionary Army, which means she might play a bigger role in the future. But when it comes to strength and battle skills, she is the weakest among the Worst Generation because she hasn’t shown any strong attacks or Haki abilities.
11. Capone “Gang” Bege
Capone Bege is a pirate who focuses more on strategy and defense rather than pure strength. His Castle-Castle Fruit (Shiro Shiro no Mi) lets him turn his body into a fortress, allowing him to hide an entire army inside himself. This gives him a special advantage in battle because he can release soldiers and weapons while staying protected. However, he mostly fights using guns and explosives instead of hand-to-hand combat, which makes him weaker in direct fights.
Bege showed his smart planning skills during the Whole Cake Island arc when he helped with the plan to take down Big Mom. He is very good at making detailed strategies and thinking ahead, which makes him a tricky opponent. But compared to the other Worst Generation members, he doesn’t have as much raw strength, Haki skills, or a very powerful Devil Fruit, so he ranks lower on the list.
10. Urouge
The “Mad Monk” Urouge is a very strong fighter with incredible physical power. He has a special Devil Fruit that lets him turn damage he takes into extra strength, making him harder to defeat in long battles. He proved how powerful he is by defeating one of Big Mom’s Sweet Commanders, which is something only a few pirates have done. His fighting style is based on brute strength and endurance, making him very dangerous in close combat.
Even though he is strong, Urouge is still a mysterious character. He hasn’t fought against other Worst Generation members on screen, and we don’t know how skilled he is with Haki. His ability to get stronger by taking damage is useful, but it also means he has to survive attacks first, which might not always work against stronger enemies.
9. Basil Hawkins
Basil Hawkins has a special Devil Fruit called the Wara Wara no Mi, which gives him powers similar to voodoo magic. He can transfer damage to straw dolls that are linked to other people, making it very hard to hurt him directly. This ability gives him a strong defense in battle since his enemies have to destroy all his dolls before they can injure him.
However, Hawkins is not very strong when it comes to attacking. He can drag out fights and reduce the damage he takes, but he struggles against powerful enemies who can break through his abilities or overpower him. His fight with Killer showed his weakness because he was eventually outsmarted.
8. X Drake
X Drake is a former Marine who became a pirate and ate the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Allosaurus. This Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit gives him great durability, strong physical power, and better fighting abilities. In his hybrid form, he combines his dinosaur strength with human intelligence, making him strong in both attack and defense. He is also a member of the secret SWORD unit, which means he has good battle experience and strategic skills.
Even though he is strong, Drake has not yet proved himself against the most powerful Worst Generation members. When he fought characters like Queen and Apoo, he showed skill but wasn’t among the top fighters. His Haki abilities are still unknown, and he depends more on raw strength than special techniques, which puts him slightly below the strongest pirates of his generation.
7. Scratchmen Apoo
Apoo has a special Devil Fruit that lets him turn sound into powerful attacks, making him a tricky fighter. He can create explosive sound waves that can confuse or seriously hurt his enemies. His ability was strong enough to surprise and injure Luffy and Zoro, showing that his powers should not be underestimated. Because of his unpredictable attacks, he is very dangerous in big battles.
But Apoo has a big weakness—his attacks can be avoided if his enemies understand how they work. When Zoro and Drake figured out his ability, they were able to dodge most of his attacks. Also, Apoo depends more on tricks rather than direct fighting, which makes him weaker against the strongest fighters. While he is strong, he does not have the raw power or Haki skills that the top Worst Generation members have.
6. Killer
Killer is Eustass Kid’s closest ally and a powerful fighter on his own. Unlike many other Worst Generation members, he does not have a Devil Fruit, but he makes up for it with his amazing speed, sword skills, and strong Armament Haki. He uses two scythe-like blades to attack quickly and precisely, making him very dangerous in close combat.
What makes Killer special is his ability to adapt in battle. In his fight against Hawkins, he used smart thinking to turn Hawkins’ own Devil Fruit powers against him. Even though he does not have Conqueror’s Haki or a very powerful Devil Fruit, his natural talent and strong fighting skills make him one of the strongest in the Worst Generation.
5. Eustass Kid
Eustass Kid has the Jiki Jiki no Mi, a Devil Fruit that lets him control metal using magnetism. With this power, he can create giant metal arms and weapons, making him very destructive in battle. He is also tough and can take a lot of damage, as seen in Wano when he survived Kaido’s attacks and helped Law defeat Big Mom.
But Kid depends too much on his Devil Fruit, which can be a weakness. Unlike Luffy or Zoro, he hasn’t shown advanced Haki skills beyond basic Conqueror’s Haki coating. His fighting style is all about brute force, but it lacks the skill and flexibility of the strongest fighters. His fight with Shanks showed his limits, as he was quickly defeated by a more experienced Conqueror’s Haki user.
4. Trafalgar D. Water Law
Law is one of the strongest Worst Generation members because of his powerful Devil Fruit, the Ope Ope no Mi, also called the “Ultimate Devil Fruit.” His Room ability lets him control space, move objects, and attack through defenses.
In Wano, he showed his true strength by using his Awakening techniques, Kroom and Puncture Wille, to seriously injure Big Mom. Unlike Kid, Law fights with more skill and strategy, allowing him to challenge stronger enemies with smart and precise attacks.
Besides his Devil Fruit, Law is also very skilled with a sword and uses strong Armament Haki. Even though he doesn’t have Conqueror’s Haki, his ability to think ahead and adapt in battle makes up for it. His fight against Blackbeard proved how much he has grown, as he was able to stand his ground against one of the most dangerous pirates in the world.
3. Roronoa Zoro
Roronoa Zoro, the right-hand man of Luffy, is an absolute powerhouse. He is a master of the three-sword style and has powerful Armament and Conqueror’s Haki, making him almost unstoppable. His biggest achievement was giving Kaido a permanent scar—something only legendary warriors like Oden have done. With the sword Enma, Zoro learned to use Conqueror’s Haki in his attacks, making him even more dangerous in battle.
What makes Zoro special is his unbreakable will and ability to keep fighting even when badly injured. In Wano, he blocked a powerful attack from Kaido and Big Mom together, then kept fighting despite serious wounds. Unlike Kid and Law, who depend on their Devil Fruits, Zoro’s strength comes entirely from his Haki and sword skills, making him one of the strongest non-Devil Fruit users in One Piece.
2. Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard)
Blackbeard is one of the scariest pirates in One Piece because he has two powerful Devil Fruits: the Yami Yami no Mi (Darkness) and the Gura Gura no Mi (Quake). The Darkness Fruit lets him cancel out other Devil Fruit powers, while the Quake Fruit gives him the ability to create massive earthquakes. With these abilities, he can easily defeat both Devil Fruit users and normal fighters, making him one of the strongest in the world.
Even though Blackbeard is very powerful, he has weaknesses. His Darkness Fruit makes him take more damage than normal, and he has not shown advanced Conqueror’s Haki like Luffy or Shanks. However, he is extremely smart and always looks for ways to get stronger. As he continues to grow in power, he remains one of the biggest threats to Luffy’s goal of becoming the Pirate King.
1. Monkey D. Luffy
Monkey D.Luffy, the future Pirate King, is the strongest member of the Worst Generation. His Devil Fruit, now revealed as the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, gives him incredible powers that let him fight in a wild, cartoon-like way. With Gear 5, he can move freely and make even the strongest enemies, like Kaido, struggle to keep up with him. His abilities allow him to fight in ways no other pirate can.
Besides his Devil Fruit, Luffy has mastered all three types of Haki, including Advanced Conqueror’s Haki, which lets him attack without even touching his opponent. Defeating Kaido, one of the strongest creatures in the world, proves that Luffy has reached the level of the world’s strongest fighters. As he keeps getting stronger, he is not only the most powerful Worst Generation member but also one of the most dangerous pirates in One Piece.
