1. Yoriichi Tsugikuni
Yoriichi Tsugikuni is the first known Demon Slayer in the series, and is considered as the strongest Demon Slayer as he single handedly fought with Muzan and almost defeated him.
While all Demon Slayer acquire their Demon Slayer Mark later in their age by doing Hard work, Yoriichi was born with it.
Yoriichi was born during the Sengoku period and was a prodigious swordsman from birth. He created the Sun Breathing technique, the most powerful of all Breathing Styles, which later inspired the creation of the other forms that Demon Slayers use now.
He died from the one weakness that all humans have to face which is old age. But, despite of his old age, he easily overpowered his brother, Kokushibo, known as the Second Strongest Demon after Muzan.
Even Muzan survived his attack just because he ran away, and that was the biggest mistake by Yoriichi, otherwise the demons which are now haunting the people would never have existed.
2. Muzan Kibutsuji – The Demon King
Muzan Kibutsuji is the strongest and the very first Demon in the series. Despite Yoriichi’s great strength, he was still a human and couldn’t live eternal life, whereas, due to Muzan’s ability of eternal youth and immortality made him invincible for ever.
Consuming a small amount of his blood is enough to convert any human into powerful Demon and he can control every demon in existance.
Muzan possesses unmatched regenerative abilities, superhuman strength, and a vast array of deadly Blood Demon Arts. Thanks to the massive reach of his blood demon art, he was able to survive the battle with all the Demon Slayers, and trapped them in Infinity Castle within minutes in latest fight.
3. Kokushibo (Upper Moon One)
Kokushibo, originally Michikatsu Tsugikuni, is the second strongest Demon after Muzan. He was the twin brother of Yoriichi, jealous of his powers, he turned to Muzan in order to become demon and gain eternal life and to surpass Yoriichi. Over the centuries, he rose to become the strongest of Muzan’s Twelve Kizuki and he only answers to his Demon king Muzan.
Kokushibo wields the Moon Breathing technique, which he created himself, he can manipulate his flesh to create really powerful weapons, his blood demon art allows him to create crescent shaped blades which are very fast and powerful and are almost impossible to dodge.
4. Tanjiro Kamado (With Demon Slayer Mark and Sun Breathing)
Tanjiro Kamado is a young, kind hearted boy, his heart was unleashed of great anger when he saw his family slaughtered by Demon (later revealed to be Muzan) leaving only his sister alive which turns into a demon. He then decides to become a Demon Slayer to protect his sister and to find a cure to change her back to human.
Tanjiro’s strength grows immensely and he became very powerful as the series goes on. With his demon slayer mark and him mastering the art of Sun Breathing Technique, which allows him to use Hinokami Kagura, he became quite powerful and defeated many demons of lower and of upper rank as well.
5. Gyomei Himejima – The Stone Hashira
Gyomei is physically the most powerful Hashira in Series, and his mastery of the Stone Breathing technique allows him to perform devastating attacks. Gyomei is a former monk who became a Demon Slayer after witnessing the brutal death of orphans he was caring for.
He became the Stone Hashira in just 2 months, and considering his muscle strength, it is not that of surprising.
Gyomei also has a Demon Slayer mark which makes him even more powerful and his weapon, a spiked flail and axe connected by a chain, is unique and deadly in his hands.
Gyomei has highly advanced hearing that allows him to overcome his blindness, and during his fight against upper moon one he fought toe to toe with him without even using his Demon Slayer Mark.
6. Doma – Upper Rank 2
Doma is the third strongest Demon in Muzan’s Demon Team and is one of the smartest Demons. He is a charismatic and seemingly benevolent figure who leads a cult, this cult is nothing but a feeding ground for him where he eats his followers without much of an effort.
Douma possesses immense strength, regenerative abilities, and a powerful Blood Demon Art that allows him to create and manipulate ice, so fighting him would be a deadly choice.
If we compare him to Hashiras he is faster and more powerful than most of the Hashiras. He has defeated several Hashira, showcasing his lethal capabilities.
7. Akaza – Upper Rank 3
Akaza was once a human named Hakuji, who turned to a life of violence and became a demon after losing everything dear to him. He is the fourth strongest Demon after Doma and he got his greatest achievement after killing Kyokuro Rengoku and became one of the most hated character in anime.
Akaza specializes in hand-to-hand combat, using his Blood Demon Art, Destructive Death, to unleash powerful martial arts techniques. He has infinite stamina, great regenerative power which makes him a formidable opponent among Hashiras.
8. Sanemi Shinazugawa
Sanemi is a fiercely determined and hot-headed Hashira who joined the Demon Slayer Corps after losing several family members to demons.
He is the wind Hashira and is like a living tornado, he is the most scaring Hashira. His tough exterior hides a deep pain and sense of duty, particularly toward his younger brother, Genya.
During his fight with Upper Moon 1, Kokushibo, he lost his index and middle finger, but still was able to deal a strong amount of damage to Muzan in final battle by swinging his swords with just three fingers.
Kokushibo even complicated him along with Gyomei and conidered them powerful Hashira among other Hashiras.
9. Giyu Tomioka
Giyu Tomioka is one of the first Hashiras to be introduced in the series, and plays a major role in guiding Tanjiro and Nezuko to their journey.
When he first saw Nezuko, he was about to kill her, but Tanjiro stopped him and when he saw Nezuko that she was not attacking humans so he stopped himself.
Giyu Tomioka is so calm that he would like to finish the battles without wasting any extra breath on them. Sadly, fans have only seen a fraction of power from him.
Giyu is a master of the Water Breathing technique, which he has perfected over years of training. He is calm and calculated in battle, able to adapt quickly to different situations.
His most iconic attack is called Dead Calm, which he used against Rui, the lower rank five. He is strong enough to defeat upper moons in the final arc, but he needed Tanjiro’s help to defeat Akaza, which clarifies he is one of the strongest Hashiras.
10. Kyojuro Rengoku
Kyojuro Rengoku is a passionate and charismatic Hashira who comes from a long line of Flame Hashira. He seeks to desire justice for those whi cannot defend themselves. After his appearance in Mugen Train movie, he became one of the most beloved character by fans in the series.
Kyojuro’s mastery of the Flame Breathing technique allows him to perform powerful and fiery attacks. His strength, endurance, and unwavering spirit make him a formidable opponent. When he fought with Akaza, the upper moon 3, he gave him a fierce battle and made him remember his immense stamina and fighting style.
